HISTORY: Virtual pets are fun companions to play with, feed, care for and have fun. A virtual pet in its highest form would be an artifical intelligence living not in particular bits or bytes, but living because it requires some of the same sorts of things we do in order to operate.

In its simplest form a virtual pet is a picture like on Neopets*, to which someone attaches an imaginative story. The Adopted Neopets become as alive in the imagination as a live pet would be. Thus the name: Virtual Pets, they are also called cyber pets and in our case the virtual pets are called cyber critters.

The online virtual pet is the original cybercritter. There were 8 original cybercritter cyber pets to play with online. Over a million virtual pet owners have experienced the fun of owing a cybercritter cyberpet. But, you could only play online.

You can adopt a pet online. You can download a desktop cybercritter. Characteristics: Each cybercritter ( online and offline versions ) can be happy, sad or tired. Each cyber pet can play, sleep or eat.
