HISTORY: In its simplest form a virtual pet or VP is a picture like on Neopets*, to which someone attaches an imaginative story.

The adoption in some cases requires registration. The VPs are just as real to their owners because they become alive in the imagination. Thus the name: Virtual Pet, also called cyber pets and in our case, cyber critters.

A cybercritter VP lives in or on your computer either in the browser, if online or in your computer on it's a desktop virtual pet.

A cybercritter is capable of showing various moods. It also performs activities which in turn control the moods. A critter requires some of the same sorts of things we do in order to operate.
